DESCRIPTION:Ages 7-12    (younger by special exception)\n\n\nOur camp days and schedules revolve around the campers and their preferences\, implementing an unstructured play and learning approach. Depending on interest\, campers may spend more time outside exploring\, inside looking after animals\, or otherwise. We make sure everyone is given personalized attention and has a blast at Reptile Camp! \n\n\nDuring their week at Reptile Camp\, campers will: \n\n\nlearn about reptiles\, amphibians\, and more \n\n\nhave hands-on experiences with our collection of native and exotic reptiles \n\n\nexplore pond and forest habitats \n\n\ncatch some cool creatures \n\n\nlearn the importance of respecting and conserving nature \n\n\nfeed their favourite reptiles \n\n\nplay games \n\n\nmake crafts to bring home \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAges 13-17\n\n\nOur Leader in Training (LIT) program offers experience and guidance in the world of summer camp\, leadership\, recreational programming\, and animal care! It is our goal that LITs will add to their experience\, skillset\, and confidence in order to excel in future leadership positions. \n\n\nIn addition to camper activities\, our LITs will: \n\n\ndesign and lead an activity for the other campers (ie. craft or game) \n\n\ngain knowledge of organizing activities\, safety\, equipment use\, record keeping\, first aid\, and more \n\n\nlearn leadership and planning skills \n\n\nparticipate in more advanced animal care with our Animal Care staff \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTo enroll or find out more visit http://www.scalesnaturepark.ca/reptile-camp

DESCRIPTION:Join the  Gooderham Community Action Group in celebrating Earth Day. \nEarth- Clean-up starts at 10:00 – 12:00:  Meet at the Community Centre.  Afterwards come back to the  Gooderham Community Centre for more celebrations from  12:00 – 2:00 \nTurtle Guardians will come to teach kids how to identify Ontario’s 8 turtles\, and to learn how to help turtles. \nHot Dogs & Hot Chocolate and demonstrations.
