SUMMARY:1st Annual Turtle Fest at Scales Nature Park
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the first annual turtle fest at Scales Nature Park in Orillia. A time to celebrate the launch of the Turtle Guardians program and the 10th birthday of Scales Nature Park! Help in the release of turtle hatchlings. This year\, our partners at Scales Nature Park have incubated more than 11\,000 turtle eggs. \nTurtle Technicians will be on hand to teach people and kids how to help turtles across roads\, how to build nest protectors\, identify Ontario’s turtles\, and report turtle sightings. \nLive turtles. Live music. Family Fun. \nEntry is by donation to support turtle conservation. \nFriday and Saturday August 23 and 24th. Opening ceremonies at 10am.
