Road Reconnaissance:
Age 16, with permissions, and age 18 and older: Guardians are involved in Road Surveys. Choose your own routes. Babysit a nesting turtle. We are busy designing protocols and packages for Citizen Science.
Turtle Tunnel Assessments:
Must be over the age of 18: under a road occupancy permit. Citizen Scientists are trained in evaluating the feasibility of installing turtle tunnels (specialized fencing to direct turtles through culverts under roads), at targeted crossing locations within the region.
Nest-sitting: 
Must be over 18 years old or accompanied by an adult. Take a turn guarding a nesting turtle. Teams of Guardians take turns guarding nesting turtles- safety protocols apply.
Conservation Projects:
Under age 18: design your own conservation project with the help of TG staff or with support for your school. Turtle Guardians is a program that is offered in partner schools across the region. Contact us to learn how to begin.
