Injured turtles can recover from massive injuries. If it is safe to do so, please retrieve the turtle, put them in a dry box (no food or water), note the location you found them and call Ontario's only turtle hospital (the OTCC) at 705-741-5000. They have volunteers who can meet you wherever you need to go.

Otherwise, please text 705-854-2888 for guidance and support.

Adult turtles are essential to stabilize populations, with few natural predators and who may live well beyond 200 years. You will meet them each year in your neighbourhood
