Turtle Camp 2023

Turtle camp 2023

There may be options for those on limited incomes. If you need assistance sending a child to camp, email us at info@turtleguardians.ca

Select from options below. You may also choose to have your child stay on certain days from 2-4, by selecting "Crafty Afternoons". Each afternoon is an additional $40.00

Level 1

Session 1:July 12-14

Session 2:July 19-21

Session 3:Aug 2-4

Camps are 9am to 2pm.

You can register your child for a crafty afternoon until 3pm if required. An addition fee to cover staff time and craft supplies will apply. 

Level 1 Turtle Camp is for kids age 7-12.

Kids will learn:

  1. How to identify all of Ontario's turtles
  2. How to identify a turtle nest and save nests
  3. How to help turtles cross roads, help turtle nests and handle snapping turtles too!
  4. What are the major threats to Ontario's turtles
  5. How to report turtle sightings
  6. Pass your Turtle Test to get your TG Level 1 Card
  7. Come back in August for your Level 2

Level 2

August 24-25 9am-2pm

Level 2 Turtle Camp is for kids age 9+

Kids must have received their Level 1 card to participate.

Kids will learn:

  1. How to identify nesting behaviours and turtle eggs of each species
  2. How to identify all of Ontario's wetlands
  3. How to help nesting turtles
  4. How to build a nest protector
  5. How to monitor wetlands for wildlife
